3 Ways to Add Drama to a Powder Room

A powder room is my go-to space when it comes to making a statement. It’s a space often used by guests, therefore a great place to let your personality shine. Here are my top tips for adding drama to your space.

1. Powder Rooms are Prime Spaces for Color

Wallpaper and bold paint colors are my number 1 tip when it comes to making a splash. Go big or go home as they say. Opt for something with large-scale patterns and unique designs to add some flair, and add a unique mirror with statement cabinet hardware!

2. Add Statement Lighting for Some Pop

Don’t forget about the lighting though. Functional but pretty is my rule of thumb. Mixed metals and frosted globes are one route to take, and adding sconce lighting in a place other than over the mirror is another!

3. Use Finishes to Elevate the Elegance

A cohesive design is still important even if you are having fun. My favorite combo of materials is a white oak vanity with a dark veined quartz top, brass plumbing, and sage colored tile. This with a patterned wallpaper would make anyone fall head over heels!
