Kozy Faves-Paint colors but not the popular ones!

Well hello there! This has been an interesting season for all things design related. Lots of people are finally tackling that home reno or update project they’ve been putting off for months or even years! With so much time being spent at home, why not right? Below are Kozy’s picks for paint colors in each shade, but not the ones you would expect! A simple Pinterest search will bring up loads of uber popular colors, so below are our picks that you shouldn’t ignore. Enjoy, and stay Kozy!

 Paint the Rainbow

1.     Red

Shades of red can be a little intimidating, but that just means you haven’t found the right one! Big Apple by Clare Paint is a warm red hue that can add the perfect pop of color to your walls without being too bright or overbearing.

2.     Orange

Orange can be such a fun color to work with, you just need to find the right canvas! One of my favorite orange shades is Emberglow by Sherwin Williams, and instead of putting it on your walls (which would still look fabulous!) I think it would be the perfect shade for a front door! Add some plants and a wreath and let your home scream “Welcome, neighbors!” Well, most of them anyway… 

3.     Yellow

Ring, ring, ring, yellow? Sorry, I couldn’t resist! Just like I can’t resist Sundance by Benjamin Moore. This is a more mellow shade of yellow that would be great in a den, loft, nursery, or even as a pop of brightness in the kitchen.

4.     Green

Believe me when I say you will be green with envy when you see this color! Current Mood by Clare Paint is one of my all time favorite colors, hands down! It’s a deeper shade of green with cool undertones, and it’s a truly stunning shade. I would love to see this used to spruce up a bathroom or bedroom!

5.     Blue

I got the blues, in a good way! Dignity Blue by Sherwin Williams is a stunning and versatile color that can be used in any room in the house! Personally, I love it because it can bring a sense of “kozy-ness” to a home without making any room feel too dark.

6.     Purple

Don’t let the name fool you, White Heaven by Benjamin Moore is a great shade of purple that adds just the right amount of color to your walls. This is the perfect shade for any room that needs a splash of color, but you still want to keep that neutral feel throughout the home. I really love this shade in an office or kid’s room, but don’t hesitate to use it in bigger rooms as well!

7.     Pink

Cheers! Rosé Season is here! It’s always here at KozyKasa to be frank. This pink shade by Clare Paint is absolutely gorgeous! Bright, bold, beautiful-Rosé Season is a great paint color to be used when you want your room to make a statement, and perhaps that statement is, “Another round, please!” 

8.   White

Psych! This one will for sure come up in any Pinterest search. It’s been a designer fav for a while and with good reason-it’s the PERFECT white. No beige or yellow undertones, it’s just the perfect amount of warmth. We’ve used it on exteriors, interior walls, cabinets, and even trim. Alabaster by Sherwin Williams will be a classic forever IMO. We couldn’t leave it out!

9.     Gray

Whoooooo says gray has to be boring? Gray Owl by Benajmin Moore is similar to Alabaster listed above in the sense that it is an extremely versatile color. When you don’t want white but still want a neutral shade throughout the home, this a fantastic choice!

10. Black

Don’t run away yet! Black paint can be the perfect way to add some boldness to your home (without making it feel like a haunted house!). Blackest by Clare Paint would make the perfect accent wall behind a fireplace, but don’t be afraid to use it on all four walls in a bathroom or office! With a good amount of light to brighten up the room, black can really add a level of chic to any home. And this the blackest they come. We see lots of people almost taking the plunge with black walls but going for a charcoal tone instead. We say, go big or go home.
